Reasons For Constant Heartburn

Do you frequently have a problem digestive food? If so then there are 3 major reasons why you seem to have trouble digesting food. In this article I'll expose what they are and what you can do to begin treating them effectively so that digestive problems will become a thing of the past for you.

Why you might have a problem digesting food

Parasites: If you've recently eaten some food that was either not properly cooked and raw there is a great likelyhood you have contracted some parasites as a result. Sushi is very common for causing this problem. However parasites can come from a variety of food and even environmental sources such as unclean surfaces and tap water also commonly is affected. The solution is to do an effective cleansing protocol, that will likely require about 30-60 days to achieve relief from symptoms if this is the reason you are having trouble digesting food.

Poor eating practises: This includes anything from not chewing food well enough, carbs in particular need to be chewed thoroughly in the mouth as this is where most of their digestion occurs. Drinking water or other liquids with meals dilutes stomach acid and severely limits your digestive ability, don't drink more than ½ a cup of liquid 30 min before a meal and none for at least 2 hours after. Sips are ok though throughout a meal to help food go down, but don't gulp! Remember also vegetables can go with anything, however meat and grains do not digest well, more specifically starches don't do well with protein and fat.

Candida: This is a fungus that exists in 90% of peoples bodies. Its main home is in your digestive tract. When you are healthy and your beneficial bacteria are in high levels then this fungus cannot cause problems. However remove any one of these and you have a problem. A severe infection or the use of anti-biotics are well known to trigger as a side infection a candida overgrowth, to call it an infection is slightly off though. This is because as I mentioned candida is already in your body, so what happens is that it simply overgrows and starts taking over territory in your body it was never meant to. This also suppresses many functions within your body which are meant to assist with digestion, such as the production of digestive enzymes, reducing stomach acid (actually creating acid reflux as a result) and suppressing the development of beneficial bacteria which are crucial to healthy digestion.

The solution is an effective diet and cleanse system made to eliminate the factors that have allowed candida to overgrow and most importantly restore proper health to your body once again.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
    Constant Heartburn?
I always have heartburn. I dont over eat, and i avoid spicy foods like the plague. Today, i had Honey Nut Cheerios, and some Spaghetti-O's with my kids. All i had to drink today was milk and water. This is an everyday thing. I dont lay down for at least 1 full hour after eating and i know the 3 things i mentioned are the main causes of heartburn (over eating, spicy foods and laying down right after eating). I really dont want to see a DR just for this reason but if i have to, i will. Tums doesnt work for me, and neither do any of the over the counter antacids. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing it? I am a mom of 2 kids (ages 5 and 15months) so i am under alot of stress (see another question i asked to see what i mean http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080422191337AAF5ZoL&r=w) so could stress cause heartburn as well? What are some other causes for heartburn? Thank you all in advance!

  2. QUESTION:
    Reasons for stomach ache?
I've been having stomach aches for the past 2 weeks almost after anything I eat. It started when I decided to change my diet and eat more fruits so I started eating a bowl of various berries with muesli and probiotic yogurt. I've been always eating yogurt so don't assume it was the yogurt's fault but now my stomach hurts me after anything. I stopped eating fruits but it still hurts. Only bread seems to be working fine for my belly. I had once H. pylori but I don't think it's that because now the pain is little bit smaller and shorter and I never get heartburn unlike when I had pylori, I had constant heartburn.
Anny suggestions what could it be and what diet I could adopt to soothe my stomach???

  3. QUESTION:
why am i getting heartburn?? i'm only 18?
for the past 2 days i've been getting constant and bad hearburn/reflux.. i've never really had it before. in fact i didn't know what it was until i asked and looked it up and it def feels like what i've heard. it hasn't really subsided since it started. am i not too young to get heartburn for serious problems?? any reasons why i'd get it? i haven't changed my diet or anything like that at all.

    • ANSWER:
The number one cause of heartburn of this nature (because any obvious bad dietary habits) is eatting before going to sleep, or laying down after eating or drinking. Pizza, soda, spicy foods are all notorious for making heartburn problems worse, especially at night. Overeating (as in, eating too much in one sitting) has the same effect.

I know girls have trouble with heartburn if they just become pregnant or have an ulcer. Sure enough, my son's girlfriend got heartburn suddenly and found out it was an ulcer and my daughter's friend got heartburn suddenly and found out she was pregnant. The ulcer was probably due to stress and anxiety from some abuse and neglect that she had to take for years. (No, my son had nothing to do with that, she was like that when he met her recently). Both girls are 17.

If all of this seems unlikely, then still check for an ulcer because many things can cause them, you anything that can stress you out (you have to look at things from an overall view, for instance, if something stresses you out a little, but over a long period of time).

  4. QUESTION:
I have constant pain in my upper left side, but all my medical tests came back normal. What is causing this?
I just returned from 17 days in Europe (Ireland, France, Spain), and I have had a constant aching pain in my upper left abdomen that makes sitting, standing, sleeping, coughing and all movements very uncomfortable. The pain is internal; it does not hurt to push on any part of my abdomen including the left side, and there is no bruising or discoloration on my skin.
I went to the hospital yesterday, and they checked for a pulmonary embolism, bowel issues, etc. I had two CT abdominal scans...one without contrast and one with contrast; I had blood and urine tests; I had an EKG, and all tests came back "perfect" and normal.
I had and was treated for bronchitis with bronchial spasms about 1.5 months ago. I took antibiotics and an Albutrol inhaler, and I recovered quickly with no residual issues.
During my trip, I had rather severe heartburn and very loose stools, both of which are rare for me. The hospital prescribed painkillers and an anti-inflamatory medicine, which is fine but I feel it is not really an answer for what is going on with me.
Has anyone had a similar situation or any possible reasons for this? While I am very happy I do not have a DVT or a PE, I am really curious as to what is happening to me.
Also, I am a 30 year old female on birth control pills and I am hypothyroid.
They did scan my whole abdomen, so if I cracked something, it would have shown up. Can the coughing cause serious harm? I did have several good "hacking" cough spells while I was on the trip.

Hi, I was wondering if there are any other pregnant ladies out there that find themself in a constant bad mood, especially during the last trimester. My poor other half! Im 38 weeks pregnant and im just so uncomfortable, its painfull to walk, to get off from the sofa/bed, to bend up and down, im always tired then and have heartburn alot of the time (despite being prescribed zantac and gaviscon chew tabs) i get teary for silly reasons, then I have on-off cramping and stuff and feel like im always about to pee myself, can barely go a 20min car journey! I have an almost 3 year old so I do need to keep quite active, i dont seem to be moody with anyone else just my poor partner hes been getting his face chewed off for even breathing so it seems, lol! I cant help being snappy at him (although sometimes i do feel he isnt doing enough) and sex is right out of the window!! I do apologise and he knows its hard for me and I dont mean to moan at him!
